Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy works with the past: processing trauma and treating clinical conditions. This work is forward-facing. We start from where you are now and build toward what you actually want. I'm not a therapist and this isn't a clinical space. If you're in crisis or need trauma support, I'm happy to help you find the right person for that.

Sessions are a combination of conversation, reflective inquiry, and somatic awareness practices. We work with both what you think and what you feel in your body. There's no script and no predetermined destination. Your pace, your boundaries, and your feedback shape everything. Everything unfolds with you.

Somatic simply means body-based. Most of us spend our lives in our heads. Thinking, analysing, planning. Somatic work brings awareness to what's happening in the body: where tension lives, what sensations arise, how the body responds to different questions or experiences. It's not mysterious or spiritual. It's paying attention to information you already have but haven't been taught to read.

No. Many begin alone and invite their partner(s) later, because their partner(s) isn't/aren’t ready, or because the work is purely personal. Some people come as a couple or throuple from the start. We figure out the right format in the discovery call.

Online via video, which means location is no barrier. I work with clients globally in English, German, and Dutch.

That depends entirely on what you want to work and focus on. Some people feel complete after just one session, others work over a longer period as their understanding deepens. We discuss this after the discovery call once I have a clearer picture of where you are and what would serve you best.
